Building, Refining, and Staying True to Our Vision
As we close another quarter, we wanted to share what has been happening behind the scenes at MicroDAO, the progress, the challenges, and the quiet work shaping our next phase.
This has been a quarter of deep building and thoughtful recalibration. We have taken a closer look at each of our activities, refined priorities, and ensured that every effort remains aligned with our central mission: empowering a global community to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and infectious disease innovation in new and sustainable ways.
Pathogen Catalogue
(previously the Pathogen Solution Marketplace)
The Pathogen Catalogue is progressing steadily and remains one of our flagship projects.
The front-end has been fully designed and built, while the back-end is now under active development. We expect to release the first working version by the end of this quarter. Once built, the pathogen catalogue will be the gateway to the ecosystem of tools that we are building at microDAO. It will allow visitors to gather key pathogen-specific metrics and data points, which will serve as the cornerstone of the ecosystem of pathogen data, solutions, and collaborations that we want to enable. It will be the beginning of an interconnected system that helps researchers, innovators, and policymakers translate knowledge into action.

AIRA powered Collective Research Platform
(previously the AIRA Marketplace)
The AIRA Collective Research Platform has evolved far beyond its initial concept.
It’s now shaping into a collective intelligence environment, powered by an AMR Innovation & Research Agent (AIRA), which assists researchers throughout the research and analysis process.
We have been testing AIRA internally to refine how it supports research design, interpretation, and collaboration. The system is improving rapidly, but we are taking our time to ensure reliability and scientific rigour.
We plan to open early tester sign-ups in December, with a closed alpha pilot to follow in early 2026. It’s taking longer than planned, but deliberately so, as we are shaping it as a key component of the ecosystem that we are building, in a manner that allows its users to benefit from the community’s collective knowledge.
Economic Impact Calculator
An extension of the Pathogen Catalogue, the economic impact calculator being developed will help users understand the economic implications of pathogen-related interventions. Still in active development, the revised schedule for the alpha version of this calculator is expected in early 2026. Our goal is for the tool to do more than calculate; we want it to inform smarter policy development, investments, and research decisions by quantifying the value of action (or inaction) against resistant infections.
On Sustainability and What Comes Next
A key goal for MicroDAO is self-sustainability, creating models that allow us to grow without relying solely on external investors or grants.
To that end, we’ve been developing a special project that we are aiming to launch on Bio Launchpad v2. While details are still under wraps, it’s something that blends education, creativity, and community participation in a way to both fund MicroDAO’s development but also raise awareness about AMR in an engaging and accessible way.
We are excited to share more soon.
Team, Community & Partners
This quarter, we welcomed Felix and Aguda to the Community and Awareness Working group to help us build meaningful content and engage with you, our community members, to define our shared vision. Both Aguda and Felix are actively building and testing our Discord hub and are creating new ways to engage and create a thriving community that tackles antimicrobial resistance. Once launched, it will complement our Telegram by offering a more interactive space for researchers and builders to collaborate, exchange ideas, and co-create.
Another key aspect this quarter has been the inspiring and engaging conversations we have had with various organisations, potential partners, and scientific advisors. While we are unable to name every single one, you know who you are. We are deeply grateful for your support, advice, and engagement in the vision we are co-creating with you. Keep an eye out for more exciting announcements about this in the coming quarter.
A Call to the Community
As we move into Q4, our focus remains clear:
Deliver the first version of the Pathogen Catalogue to early users.
Continue refining AIRA and the Economic Impact Calculator.
Strengthen our path toward long-term sustainability.
But MicroDAO has always been about more than projects; it is about people.
If you are a researcher, public health professional, innovator, or simply someone who believes that new models like the one we are building can change how we fight infectious diseases, we invite you to join us.
Your insights, your questions, and your participation shape what we build next.
Find us on Telegram, and soon, on Discord. We are actively looking for new members in the evidence-gathering, operations (with web3 project management experience) and deal flow working groups. If you have this background and/or interest, please write to us at join.microdao.bio with a few lines about your interest, links to previous projects that you were involved and a resume if one is available.
Let’s keep building, not just tools, but a shared movement for the future of global health.
