We are excited to announce microDAO’s partnership with Bio.xyz and our listing on the Launchpad for new BioDAOs. For the uninitiated, bioDAOs like us are global decentralised communities which support and fund promising early-stage biotechnology projects and decentralised drug development. As we share this very exciting partnership with you, we are pleased to also share that microDAO now has a brand-new visual identity and a brand-new website, which is now live at microDAO.bio

These are critical steps which will help us on our mission to build a new infrastructure to support innovation in antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Why MicroDAO?

AMR is one of the most urgent global health challenges of our time. Yet AMR research and innovation remain chronically underfunded, siloed, and constrained by traditional models of funding and collaboration.

MicroDAO was created to change this.

We are a decentralised, community-powered initiative working to support early-stage, underfunded, and high-impact AMR innovation, particularly in settings and sectors that are often overlooked by traditional R&D and public health systems.

MicroDAO supports research across three core AMR areas:

1. Predict & Validate
   Developing tools and approaches to better understand and track resistance.

2. Prevent
   Supporting upstream, systemic interventions that reduce the need for antimicrobials in the first place, including work on infection prevention, environmental transmission, and structural drivers of resistance.

3. Cure
   Advancing new treatments, access models, and stewardship strategies to ensure antimicrobials remain effective.

Why Bio.xyz?

Bio.xyz is a decentralised platform designed to support the creation of community-led BIO DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations).
